Meet the couple behind Wild Side Bistro, Raquel and Jay. Raquel and Jay met in 2002 while working together right here on Long Island. Together they have owned 4 restaurants before Wild Side Bistro. Passionate about food, ingredients and how the two influence our health-Wild Side Bistro is the convergence of where foodie food meets holistic health.
Chef Jay has always been a foodie and wino. Having studied at Hotel Schoolin Switzerland and living/working in 9 countries including on Royal Carribean Cruise Ships, before moving to the US, Wild Side Bistro's menu features authentic flavors and cooking techniques from Jay's extensive travels. Born and raised in India, it is Jay's cultural roots that give Wild Side Bistro its Indian-fusion flare. Spice, as they say, is INDEED LIFE!
Following the birth of their oldest son in 2009, Raquel earned her certification as a Holistic Health Coach. In addition to coaching clients one on one, Raquel founded The Real Food Cleanse which is designed 'for super busy people whose lifestyles are less than perfect.' At Wild Side Bistro, Raquel and Jay demonstrate that wholesome food can still be mouthwatering.
